Sound Trip

It’s been a long time since I listened to my mp3s. I tried to sleep but I was unsuccessful so I just decided to get up and browse my files.

Eversince I was young (wow, I thought I sounded old for a moment LOL), I’ve always been attached to music. I listen to every genre but of course, I have my faves. Today, I decided to be a bit adventurous and here’s what’s in my playlist:

  1. Closer, Because of You and Make it work all by NeYo
  2. With you by Chris Brown
  3. No air by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown
  4. Bleeding love, Take you there all by Boyce Avenue
  5. Big girls don’t cry by Fergie
  6. Swept away by Christopher Cross
  7. Never gonna let you go by Faith Evans
  8. Umbrella by Scott Simons
  9. I didn’t know I was looking for love by EBTG
  10. my Christmas playlist :)

It’s a mix of everything and I liked it. Maybe I need to do this regularly to amuse me instead of just watching all those food shows in cable LOL

Wow, it’s been a long time since my last post. A lot has happened and changed. I’ll post again soon but for now, time for me to sleep as I am still recuperating from a bout with amoebiasis.

Good night!

Christmas Carols

I was walking on my way to the bank earlier when I passed by a hair salon. And they were already playing christmas songs! :D

I so love Christmas and it’s nice to hear these songs fill the air. I’ll have to check my CDs and find the one of the compilation I made last year. It’s a collection of Christmas carols I grew up listening to, my all-time favorites. It includes:

Give love on Christmas day
Christmas in our Hearts
12 days of Christmas
Silent Night
The Little Drummer Boy
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas (is this the title? LOL I forgot :D)
Filipino medley
and a lot more

I can’t wait to play these songs again :)

Weekend Treat / Workshop

I’m back!

Wow, September is just around the corner and we’ll be entering the “BER” months. I guess before we know it, Christmas will be here in no time at all :)

I was a bit busy these past few days and good thing I can squeeze in one post before we say bye-bye to August.

My colleagues and I at work just came from a day and a half of Leadership Excellence Workshop and it was a blast! Even if it was a short workshop, I came out of it with knowledge that would help me in the future in becoming an effective leader. Our trainer, Mr. Dan Collado, was very helpful in bringing out the skills that I didn’t know I already have. He made us envision ourselves as leaders and gave us situations where we can apply what we have learned at the workshop. It was also videotaped as he will have to show it to the Executive team later on and I was worried because I’d look fat :D

The venue of our training was also great and it was my 3rd time to visit Nurture Spa in Tagaytay. Needless to say, it was another memorable experience. Jean and I shared the room and it was a cozy one. Our workshop ended at around 12 midnight so we just talked for a while and then dozed off.

The food was great too and hopefully when I return there, I can try the other dishes I haven’t tried yet :P

I was out of town for the weekend and definitely, it was time well-spent. I’d like to thank the Management for giving us the chance to participate in this workshop and I hope to apply this in the future. :)

Btw, when I got home, Jeremy was surprised to see me and it looked like he missed me too because he quickly walked up to me, gave me the sweetest smile and hugged me. Aaw :) I missed him too, and of course, his dad :D He then looked at me perhaps making sure that it was really me. I then carried him and then he didn’t want to go down :D

I hope you all had a good weekend and for those in the US, Happy Labor Day tomorrow! :)

Michael Phelps is the most celebrated athlete in the ongoing Summer Olympics in Beijing. And of course, who will not agree. He has won 8 gold medals and he surpassed the previous 7 set by Mark Spitz. I can’t agree more. He is really THE man!

Loving you

Today, my husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are still in the early stages of our marriage but looking back at the things and situations that we’ve gone through, it feels like we have been married for the longest time :)

I can say that we have adjusted to each other’s personalities and we are wiser to know when to keep our mouths shut so as not to fuel an argument. I know his food choices although I try to make him try other stuff from time to time :D

When I look at him and our baby boy, I see contentment right there. We may not be rich but as long as we’re together and surviving, we will get through it. We are working hand in hand to provide a good life for our family. :)

Dadi, this is just the beginning of a life-long journey. A lot more will come our way but we’re in this together, for better or for worst as what our vows said. I love you with all my heart and I am so happy to be sharing this lifetime commitment with you :)

I love you, my babies! ;)

Sad, sad news

I just read online that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’s release has been moved to July 17, 2009 :(

That’s like almost a year of waiting and I’m disappointed because I have been waiting for it and now they postponed it to a much later date. Sigh.

The week just started and it’s shaping up to be a great one for me :)

For one, I just received my payment for the blog entry I did for PPP. Yay! :D That was the first payment I got and it just felt good to know that the site really pays. I am still waiting for another payment but that might be credited at the end of the week.

Another thing is I will start my training for my part-time work. It’s only good for 2 months but still, I get to earn extra and will definitely save it in the bank. Got to save up because Christmas is just around the corner, and so are the special days of Jeremy and Pom. :D

Got to rest for a moment because training starts in 30mins. :)

I received good news today via SMS from Getzmo informing me that I won premium items for The Mummy 3! This is my second time to win on their raffles and I’m excited to know which items I get to take home.

I won Cinemalaya tickets just last July and I got 4 tickets. I hope my BIL was able to use them as I had work that time. And now, I get great items for free! :D

I joined other contests and I was so hoping to get those Cinderella tickets because I’d love to watch Lea Salonga but I was not included in the first batch of winners. Hmmm…I wonder how many batches there are *fingers crossed*

Maybe you’re wondering why I’m making a big deal about this when it’s not even a big prize. For me, who hasn’t won really something major in raffles, I appreciate this a lot because it feels good to get something for free :)

You may want to go to Getzmo and join the raffles, too. Who knows, you might just be the next one to win ;)

Harry Potter trailer

I have watched the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer a number of times and I still can’t get enough! :D

It’s good news for me that there are going to be 2 parts for this book but the long wait for the next installment is like torture LOL The book is just brimming with events and revelations that simply cannot be ommitted as they are an integral part of the story.  It’s a good decision for the producers to make two movies to give justice to the book.

I so missed the trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the big screen. They’re all grown up now and it saddens me at the thought of not seeing them after book 7 is shown. Oh well, that’s still a long way to go. I’ll just have to enjoy it while lasts :)
